Elizabeth J. Riley

Elizabeth joined the firm in 2014 after nearly two years working as a law clerk for the justices of the Probate and Family Court, where she assisted the judges in all phases of litigation involving probate, family, and equity matters.

She is a graduate of Boston College and Northeastern University School of Law.

During law school, Liz devoted substantial time to advocating for survivors of domestic violence. Liz served as a S.J.C. Rule 3:03 Certified Student Prosecutor for the Family Law Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services, representing low-income victims of domestic violence in divorce or paternity cases in the Probate and Family Court. Liz also participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic, serving as a S.J.C. Rule 3:03 Certified Student Prosecutor in the Dorchester District Court. Prior to joining the Clinic, as a first-year law student, Liz was a member of the Domestic Violence Institute at Boston Medical Center, a volunteer project in which law students staff the Boston Medical Center Emergency Department on nights and weekends, interviewing women and providing advocacy services where domestic violence issues are disclosed.

Liz is active in a women’s charitable organization, for which she has helped organize fundraisers for local charitable organizations that primarily serve low-income and homeless women and children.
