Lisa Oliver White

Lisa Oliver White joined Murphy & Riley, P.C. in May 2010.  Lisa is licensed and has trial experience in the state courts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  Her current practice is devoted to representation of medical and mental health professionals, not for profit social service agencies, and manufacturers of medical devices, including women’s health products, as well as general liability matters in state and federal courts.  For three years prior to joining the firm, Lisa’s focus was on general liability, premises liability and tort defense.  Earlier, she served as a judicial law clerk in the chambers of the Honorable Maureen McKenna Goldberg of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  While at Suffolk University Law School, from which she graduated magna cum laude in 2006, Lisa was the Production Editor of the Suffolk University Law Review. 

Lisa received the Rising Star Award from the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association in May 2015.  She was also selected to the 2013 and 2014 Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars list.  Lisa is currently a member of the Clinical Programs Advisory Board, and the Selection Committee for the Thomas J. Drinan Memorial Fellowship, both at Suffolk University Law School.  Lisa was the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Division, Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (2013-14).  Lisa is the author of Mandatory Recording of Custodial Interrogations Nationwide: Recommending a New Model Code, 39 Suffolk U.L. Rev. 263 (2005).  She also served as a S.J.C. Rule 3:03 Certified Student Prosecutor at the West Roxbury District Court, and was the Thomas J. Drinan Memorial Fellowship Recipient (2005).
